Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Why do individuals seek jawline contouring

+
  • Definition in the jawline: many of our patients are seeking to have a more defined and sculptured jawline. Non-surgical jawline contouring treatments can help create a sharper and more well-defined jawline, which is often associated with femininity and youthfulness.
  • Improved facial harmony: a well-defined jawline can contribute to the overall harmony of the face. In the case where the chin stops short or recedes in, or where there in a lack of structure in the jawline, the face can look disproportionate. Jawline contouring can help to achieve a better facial balance by enhancing the contour and proportions of the jawline.

Non-surgical jawline contouring procedures:

We offer a range of non-surgical jawline contouring treatments, designed to provide a more well-defined jawline. Jawline contouring treatments may include:

  • Radiofrequency (RF) + Microneedling and Ultrasound: are a non-invasive treatments to help firm and tighten the skin around the jawline
  • Muscle reducing treatment: involves the use of specific products that are injected into the jawline muscles. This results in a thinning of the muscle and a reduction in the squareness of the jaw, creating a slimmer lower face contour.
  • Volumising and Contouring Products: products can be strategically injected along the jawline to add volume, improve definition and provide a more youthful and feminine appearance.
Surgical jawline contouring procedures

There are several different surgical procedures that are designed to address the lower jawline which include a facelift, chin augmentation (using a chin implant or fat graft) and submental liposuction (liposuction in under the chin area).

At Bella Plastic Surgery, we focus on employing non-surgical procedures to provide a sharper, more well-defined lower jawline. In most cases, a non-surgical treatment approach will achieve the desired aesthetic results, meaning that surgery is not required.

How long do the results last?

+

There are a variety of different non-surgical jawline contouring treatments that involve the use of different products therefore, the longevity of the results can vary depending on the treatment approach.
