What is a Body Lift (Belt Lipectomy)?

A Body Lift is also known as a Belt Lipectomy, Lower Body Lift and a 360TT. This surgical procedure combines two operations: a Buttock Lift and a Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty). It aims to remove rolls of excess skin and fat in the abdominal region, flanks and lower back. It also lifts the buttocks and pubic area.

Body Lift surgery is performed in a private hospital under general anaesthesia. The procedure typically takes between four and six hours.

Individuals who have undergone significant weight loss and have been left with excess skin and associated fatty tissue are ideal candidates for a Body Lift. Typically, the main issues driving the surgery are functional and health concerns, with aesthetics being secondary.

Ideal candidates must have maintained a stable weight for at least 12 months prior to undergoing surgery. Additionally, they should be in good mental and physical health, understand the risks and complications associated with the procedure and have realistic expectations regarding their surgical outcomes.
