No, you do not. Although the term post-pregnancy surgery is used to describe procedures typically requested after pregnancy, anyone can have this surgery (normally involving breast surgery and Abdominoplasty at the same time).
As Post-Pregnancy Surgery usually involves more than one procedure, they are often conveniently combined and performed at one time, under one anaesthetic.
The visibility of your scars will depend on the procedures you have had. Breast Reductions and Breast Lifts will have some visible scars, while a Breast Augmentation typically has only a horizontal scar under the breast fold. A mini or standard Tummy Tuck will have a horizontal scar that sits discreetly under the bikini line. More extensive Abdominoplasty procedures will have more extensive scarring. When Post-Pregnancy Surgery includes Abdominoplasty, it is possible to improve C-section scars and remove most stretch marks.
Compression garments are commonly used after surgery to help reduce inflammation and enhance healing. Patients are typically instructed to wear these garments for several weeks. Depending on your procedure, Dr Dona will inform you of the duration you will need to wear your compression garment.
